The door that opens for business

OK I don’t understand how some of you patrons actually survived this long. Today I had a couple enter through the DOOR of the restaurant. I greeted them and sat them at the only open table in the house. Mind you I only have 5 tables and 5 counter stools. So this middle aged man with his buy-a-wife sat at the ONLY table that was left. I threw down some menu’s “I’ll be with you shortly sir”. I continued caring for other patrons. Meanwhile, this middle aged stranger walked up and interrupted me to ask “Will people be coming in and out of this door?”. Oh my. Am I hearing this retard right? I said “Pardon me?”, thinking I heard this all wrong. He responded, “Well I don’t want to sit by this door if people are going to be coming in and out”. Now mind you I was dealing with another table when he interrupted us. I saw this rude patron left himself open to some serious abuse. Politely I responded “Well didn’t you just come through that door to have lunch? So yes, people use that door to come in and out”. He continued, “We don’t want to sit by the door”. Ok I got angry. I told the man “Sit down by the door and I will make my customers crawl in and out of the window. Will that make you happy?”

I got a standing ovation from a few regulars! The man and his buy-a-wife were pretty much shamed into eating. They ate well, paid good money, tipped decent, and left without saying goodbye.

Point of the story? Doors are for entering and exiting!
