I am going to be a little unusual and make this post a positive one.
This post is mainly about my two favorite customers. For their sake I will be changing their names. Whenever my day has pushed me over the edge, Frankie and Johny show up. Frankie has a smile that could derail a train but she refuses to hide it away. Johnie always has a word of encouragement like; “Get me some more coffee you lazy shit.” I mean you can’t buy kind words like that. Just when I can’t deal with one more hassle Frankie will remind me that my problems don’t compare to hers by saying,” My fucking eggs are cold. Go get me two more and if you hurry you’ll still be too slow.” Is that love or what? Of course they are always quick to point out that no matter how hard I work for my other customers they will never tip me well, and seeing as how they don’t want me to get spoiled, they won’t either. If it looks as if I am going to start getting ready to go and I am going to clean up, they will spill their waters with lemon and ask for new cups and order the most difficult thing on the menu for desert. When Frankie and Johny have left I breathe a sigh. Suddenly the door opens again. Yea! they’re back. “We have nothing else to do today, so, we are going to hang out here with you.” ” Where is my coffee!.”

It’s not often we get guests that make us happy. I have some regulars that come in weekly and they tip well, and joke around with me for hours. It’s awesome.
