Waitress4life, Those cooks aren't near seasoned yet. Give it time. Give it time.

Restaurant Gal, Your cooks are honestly sparing those fries from going straight to your ass. It's genuine love.

Ali, I am a master of illusion. :)

Jenny it is never a good idea to peer into any kitchen. As with the eyes of Medusa if you stare into the eyes of the cook your appetite will turn to stone.

Gypsy, You should never have to lie for anyone. It was up to the cook to be a man and pay for what he took.

Munchies. Duh! That's why there are never any fries around when I want them! And all this time I thought my chefs were just concerned for my health....

I made the mistake of looking into the kitchen of my favorite greasy spoon recently and noticed the cook had also been the one lurching around the bar a few mintues before. He bashed into a chair and tried to take a drink order for HIMSELF. The food came out fine so I figure the drinks steadied his hands.

I used to work with an Exec Chef who was always pinching beer out of my fridge (I was in charge of the bar) for beer "batter". Somehow I had to try and explain away the anomaly of beers sold and beers just, well missing. The funniest part, there wasn't anything on the menu that required beer batter. He was much higher up the totem pole so I just had to suck it up and lie through my teeth.
