No Place To Go.
I may be moving if the economy doesn’t improve. To that end I have been looking at some Atlanta jobs. I think it may be time to move to the big city. I decided on Georgia so that I could stay close to my redneck roots. Maybe I’ll move to Alabama. Then again maybe not. Although if the Clampetts can do it I could move to Beverly Hills. Who am I kidding. The last time I was shootin’ at some food the only thing that came bubblin’ up was toxic waste. I really need to find a better place to hunt. Hell I don’t know I should probably just stay put. At least here I know what to expect. Crap. It’s just that everyday I am reminded that there is no gravity here. It is just one giant suck hole. They should rename this place Hooverville.

How would you fancy serving food on an aircraft carrier like the USS Nimitz? I can see you being perfect for it, the sailor boys would love a Sassy Mama type.

I have family in Atlanta. It’s a growing place that is still relatively affordable. It has culture and good access to airports and entertainment… Not a bad choice overall.

I just stumbled accross your site so I don’t really have a frame of refference but if your unhappy where you are than just move on to somewhere else, comfort and complacency are two things that can keep you down, don’t be afraid to take a risk…atleast go on a vacation

Dallas is extremely affordable and stays true to southern roots. There are a ton of restaurants, more per square mile than Chicago and New York. You could make a nice living here and there are many other career paths if you decide waiting tables gets old.

But, doesn’t the economy suck everywhere in the country? Pretty sure it does.

Wait, it sucks big time in my reality, too! Who knew we lived so close, yet so far away. I f—ing hate all realities right now.

Restaurant Biz is gonna blow until people can afford gas again… all those yuppies in hummers can’t afford vacations/dining out since they’re pretty much burning the contents of their bank accounts in their mid-life crisis mobiles…

Move to vegas, the casino will guarantee patrons to the resturant so no matter how slow it is you will always have people and the will always tip, the living is pretty cheap out here to. You loose out on the down south feel though, plus everyone here is kind of a jackass, present company included. It could be worse though

when my son was doing drag competitions a few years back there was a competitor called Atlanta Georgia
(J called himself Cherry Ripe - which is pretty funny as that was the food item I had cravings for when I was pregnant with him)

The economy is great in Seattle, but the weather is what truly SUCKS. Almost not worth it.

UW, we’re all pretty much slaves to this economy right now. I hear a lot of ‘wait and see’ attitudes, and it sure is frustrating. Even restaurant jobs are no sure thing these days.
At least with the same “crap” every day, you develop a tolerance for it after a while, and new crap may be even worse.
