Weather Update.

Looks like we might be getting some good rain in a couple of days. There is some big blob of weather coming this way. My local news station is hyping it up. They are saying we are all going to die if it turns into a tropical storm. We are in the cone of death which means a few things. School will not start on Monday as planned dammit. The gas stations will be packed solid, and the grocery store will run out of drinking water. These storms don’t affect me none to much though. So the kid gets a few more days of summer vacation, which means he gets to get a few more beatings. I don’t go to the gas stations but for cigarettes anyway. I’ll just smoke the weed my neighbor is growing in his yard instead. I certainly don’t drink water unless it’s labeled “vodka”. Hey! While I was typing this post they upgraded the weather system to a tropical storm. It’s like the weather guys are futures trading . If it wasn’t for the speculators it might have remained just a large rain cloud. I suppose it is the law of supply and demand. The tropics supply the storms and our news stations demand something to talk about over and over. Although, I have to admit hearing about the weather is a welcome change from hear about the gas prices, and the duck they saved from the sewer drain.

I guess it begins again this year. Wet, power outages and eating off the BBQ grill and out of cans.

So you live around here too. I would have never guessed. (and you must be south of me, I am in west central.

I think Admiral will be ok. The High that has been giving him rain will keep it away. It will miss Miami and the keys (ok it will hit the keys as a TS. Who gives a crap about a TS).

If it hits FM as a Cat1 I will be on the weak side and will loose power for 3 or 4 days, If it skims the coast, who knows 6″-12″ of rain or winds and 2 or 3 days of running my generator.

Stay safe, and have a great Hurricane Party!
    Drink a few for me!
